Peter Harman is The Food Guru and founder of Food Guru Management, LLC. Peter is a Chef, Restaurant Owner, Business Coach and Author. Peter Lives in Downtown Iowa City with his wife Kim and their little Daschund named Toots. Peter has two sons, Tyler who lives in LA and Evan who lives in Iowa City.

Peter and Kim own a restaurant called Graze in downtown Iowa City. Graze serves American fare and is famous for Chicken Lips and Amazing Cocktails. Graze has won The Iowa City Press Citizen Readers Choice Award for Best Cocktails & Martinis every year since opening in 2007. Peter also manages Martini's Grille in Burlington, Iowa. Martini's Grille is located high above the Mississippi River and features a breathtaking view of the Mississippi Valley and historic downtown Burlington. This year, Martini's Grille won the Burlington Hawkeye Readers Choice Award for Best Chef, Best Steak, Best Seafood, Best Winelist, Best Martini, Best Service, Best Happy Hour and Most Romantic.
Peter works confidentially with restaurant managers, owners and CEO's, through one on one coachig sessions that focus on Six Basic Fundamentals. The Food Guru believes that everybody needs a coach, to help them set goals and stay focused on what is truly important.
Food Guru University (FGU):
Is a MOOC (Massive Open Online Classroom). The FGU website just became operational in November 2015, it is in it's infancy. The goal is to build an educational platform to help restaurant owners, managers and rising stars increase their knowledge, run better restaurants and improve their lives.

Chicken Lip Foundation, President:
Peter founded The Chicken Lip Foundation, the non-profit wing of the Food Guru World, in the spring of 2000. The CLF has raised over a Million Dollars to help non-profit organizations help themselves in Southeast Iowa.

Peter spend 20 years working in resorts hotels in Florida including - Thistle Lodge at Casa Ybel Resort, Windows on the Water at Sundial Beach & Tennis Club, South Seas Plantation and Sheraton Harbor Place.

Peter was the youngest chef to be certified as a C.E.C at 28 years old, way back in 1987.
American Culinary Federation Southwest Florida Chapter, Chef of the Year:
Peter was the President of the Southwest Florida Chef's Association and named Chef of the Year in 1988.
Peterwas is also the winner of 5 ACF Gold Medals, Two Silver Medal and One Bronze Medal for cunlinary competitions.
The Early Years:
Peter was born in Brooklyn, New York on May 20, 1959 and raised in Vermont. He attended High School in Winooski, Vermont. Stidied Culinary Arts at The Essex Junction Educational Center, which morphed into the New England Culinary Institute. Peter played baseball and studied Business Management at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida.
